| Job Title: Community Health Nurse (1 Year Term Position) Job ID: 9162 Location: Fort Liard Department DCHSSA Health Centres Return to Previous Page Department Information Community Health Nurse 1 Year Term Position Deh Cho Health & Social Services Authority Fort Liard, NT Job Information Located within the Fort Liard Health Centre and reporting directly to the Nurse-in-Charge, the incumbent is one of two Community Health Nurses (CHNs) who deliver community health services to client s populations of approximately 512 residents. The Health Centre is the sole medical and social services facility in Fort Liard. Within the Fort Liard Health Centre the two CHNs and the Nurse-in-Charge will be required to provide on-call coverage on a rotational basis during the evening and weekends to provide emergency nursing care in Fort Liard. Equivalencies Typically these knowledge, skills and abilities are commonly acquired through the successful completion of a Nursing Degree and two (2) years recent nursing experience in an acute care setting or within a northern health centre.
