| Communications Officer Department: Office of University Librarian Affiliation: YUSA Band: 10 Salary: $52,417 Duration: Continuing Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am ? 4:30 pm Purpose: Reporting to the Executive Assistant and under the general direction of the University Librarian, the Communications Officer is responsible for the coordination and delivery of services designed to enhance and promote York University Libraries (YUL). The Communication Officer provides expertise in developing the Library?s marketing and communication plan through new media, social software and outreach activities. The incumbent will be a member of and contribute to the University Librarian?s Office senior administration team in promoting awareness of York Libraries? resources, services and facilities across campus and the GTA. Education: A University degree or a college diploma in marketing, design, digital communications or related field is required. Experience: 2 to 3 years? recent related experience is required in the communication field including writing documents and articles, producing digital and print communication or producing multi-media communications.
