| Communications Officer Overview As a key member of the Policy and Stakeholder Relations division, the incumbent will be responsible for providing communications and outreach support to the management and upkeep of standards incorporated into regulations and other related instruments. This includes the development and implementation of outreach strategies with regulators on the benefit, use and proper maintenance of standards referenced in federal and provincial/territorial regulations, national model codes and other related instruments. Specific Tasks Researching the use of national, regional and international standards as these pertain to regulations and other related instruments Understanding the federal and provincial regulatory policies and guidance that provide the framework for incorporating standards by reference in regulations Managing information, systems and tools used to communicate and liaise with key federal and provincial regulators who currently use standards or who may consider standards as a choice of instrument when developing new regulations Providing advice and recommendations on approaches and mechanisms required to raise awareness about the value of using stan.... |
