| Job Title: Cloud application developer Intern/Coop/Student Term: City/Town: Austin State/ Province/ Region: Texas Country: United States Job Description: PRIMARY PURPOSE: Work as a Cloud application engineer developing Cloud workloads. Interface directly with AMD architects, performance analysis engineers, JVM and compiler developers to advance the support of Cloud applications on AMD microprocessors. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: Define and develop applications and worklaods representative of customer ?s Cloud applications (e.g. big data/ analytics, web tier) which will be used for performance analysis experiments, JVM and compiler support, and architecture evaluation. Responsible for keeping up with the latest Cloud architectures and developing applications and benchmarks to simulate those. Define workloads to characterize performance on AMD and other platforms. Promote and drive acceptance of your work in industry-wide benchmark committees. PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS and 5+ years experience, MS and 2+ years experience, or Ph.D in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
