Under the direction of the Director, Clinical Services, the Clinical Nurse Educator is a team
member to identify nursing competencies in all areas of nursing services (medical, surgical,
pediatric, obstetric, emergency, ambulatory and operating room nursing services) assisting nurse
managers with the assessment of nursing practices, identifying learning needs, providing clinical
expertise and teaching and coordinating orientations. The incumbent teaches and coordinates the
teaching of advanced clinical nursing skills and required classifications, provides orientation to all
new staff, staff development for all hospital nurses, teaching advanced clinical sills, required
certifications and coordination of nursing student’s clinical expertise.
A successful candidate
• Masters in Nursing
• Registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Northwest Territories and
Nunavut (RNANT/NU) or eligibility to become registered.
• Several years broad based nursing experience
• Recognized advanced nursing skills in: Obstetrics, Pediat.... |
