| The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is responsible for providing and facilitating education, based on adult education principles, for staff within Acute Care Clinical Programs. The CNE facilitates, coordinates and supports the implementation of educational initiatives as part of orientation, professional development/continuing education, changes in policy, procedure, protocols and technology to promote clinical competence. Consults with managers and supervisors about education planning and learning needs. The CNE acts as a role model and resource to staff for professional development and clinical competency.
