| Claims Assistant I Job ID: 103386 Location: Calgary Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Return to Previous Page Responsibilities Claims Assistant I The Claims Assistant I provides administrative assistance and front-line quality customer service within company policies and procedures in order to assist the Claims function in meeting its business objectives. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Fields new claims through the various channels (mail, telephone and any other means) Opens claims files and assists in maintaining necessary documentation (police reports, recovery data, vendor referrals and invoices, additional payouts and other backup documents) to process the claim. Maintains various logs of claims data and generates statistical reports as required. Processes minor claims such as broken windshields, emergency service, and tire blowouts within prescribed authority levels. Deals with incoming correspondence, sorting and flagging urgent items, and outgoing correspondence, processing and typing form letters or other items as assigned. Deals with both regular mail and couriers as appropriate. Processes routine transactions for the department including such t.... |
