| Location: Whitehorse, YT Hours: Monday to Friday Salary: Depending on experience and qualifications Duration: Permanent Job Description/Duties: The Child Care Worker will be responsible for providing a safe and healthy physical environment and for creating a learning environment that meets the needs of young children by providing positive emotional, physical, social and cognitive opportunities in a cross cultural setting.The child care worker will provide opportunities which meets each child ?s individual developmental abilities and interests. The Child Care worker shall be an active team member within the Center, demonstrate superior program management skills, and maintain good communication with parents. Requirements/Qualifications: In order to be employed by the Crocus Ridge Day Care Society, you are required to meet certain requirements: 1. A minimum Level 1 in ECD - the only exception will be for seasonal and on-call workers. The successful completion of child care courses will reflect increased wages. 2. RCMP Security Check ? Level 1 thru 4; 3. Current TB test; 4. Current immunization; 5. Current First Aid certificate ? Level C; and 6. A note from your doctor indicating that .... |
