AFIs provide more than $100 million annually to more than 3,200 Aboriginal clients and manage a consolidated loan portfolio of more than $240 million. ? In partnership with Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, NACCA provides the Access-to-Capital program, which increases AFI organizational capacity through underwriting support and training, providing capital for loan funds to un-serviced areas, and an interest rate buy-down subsidy to assist AFIs in securing additional loan capital. NACCA also supports its membership by developing best practices, new financial products, and advocating with all levels of public and Aboriginal governments on behalf of its AFI members.
