| Category Manager, Pet Food Pet Valu continues to grow and our rapidly evolving format has resulted in exciting changes to store design, systems and chain wide training. With our recent expansion we now have over 400 franchised and corporate stores in Canada and the U.S. providing expert advice and service to our customers. We now seek a Category Manager of Pet Food to manage food and litter categories with accountability for increased sales, profits and inventory turns. In this role you will: Understand consumer and store needs, product positioning while working closely with peers in Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations. Develop merchandise strategy around company directives Communicate strategies to internal and external partners Plan, execute and deliver annual category reviews Ensure product assortment, sales, margins and buying plans are aligned to budgets Provide direction on planning, pricing and assortment Ensure pricing strategies support financial objectives Negotiate product costs and promotional programs Develop strong vendor relationships with key suppliers Manage product life cycle, exit strategy and aged inventory Manage store and warehouse inventory levels with Sup.... |
