Caregiver (Live in)
Terms of Employment:
Hours: 24 hours/5 days a week. Sunday afternoon (around 3:00) – Friday afternoon (around 5:00),
weekends and school district holidays off
Start: ASAP
Salary: $3,000 - $3,500/month, depending on experience and education
Location: Employers home in Darfield, BC (between Barriere and Little Fort).
Education/Credentials: Home Support Care Attendant Certificate preferred but equivalent experience
may be considered. Must have first Aid certificate with CPR
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, valid driver’s license
Type of Clientele: Caring for two seniors, one with Parkinson’s (male) and the other with early stages of
Dementia (female)
Specific Skills: Prepare, cook and serve meals, provide companionship, administer bedside and personal
care, assist client with Parkinson’s to walk, daily walks required, medicine (pills in blister packs and
puffer) assistance, perform light housekeeping and cleaning
