| CONFIDENTIAL ASSISTANT - Competition Number 12-07 The University Secretariat at Kwantlen Polytechnic University has an opening for a regular full-time Confidential Assistant at our Langley campus. In this position, you will perform a variety of administrative and secretarial functions in support of Senate, the Board of Governors and their committees. As the successful candidate, you will possess strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills as well as excellent computer skills. Discretion, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential to this role. You will be skilled in recording and transcribing accurate meeting minutes and will use advanced word processing abilities and proficiency in spreadsheet, database and presentation software applications to prepare correspondence and reports. The successful candidate will have a post-secondary diploma or certificate in office administration or related area of study plus a minimum of five years of progressive administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
