| COMMUNITY & HEALTH STUDIES - SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHERS ASSISTANT PROGRAM (SETA) - Competition Number 12-02 The Faculty of Community & Health Studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University is currently seeking a Non-regular Type 1(contract) instructor to teach CAHS 2120, Supporting Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder to pre-service teaching assistants. The successful candidate will be responsible to teach an overview of characteristics and strategies related to elementary and secondary students who are on the autism spectrum. In addition, this individual will have expertise in supporting students with autism as well as current knowledge of autism theory. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in a related field. Board Certification in Behavior Analysis would be an asset. Work experience with teacher assistants and teaching experience in a post-secondary environment would also be an asset.
