| CASHIER CLERK Bookstore Grenfell Campus, Memorial University (Contractual Position to December 6, 2012) DUTIES The successful applicant will be required to perform moderately difficult and varied clerical work, involving some independent judgement, which is reviewed through observation and by internal balance of audits or records. Duties include preparing daily and monthly cash reports and daily bank deposits; receiving, pricing and shelving books and merchandise; preparing and operating point of sale system; assisting customers with selection and purchases, as required; providing service to visual artists requiring assistance with art supplies; assisting with inventory control; merchandising displays; preparing return shipments; and performing other related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS Experience (up to 1 year) in use of a point of sale system; graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in business education; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of computers and experience in providing customer service would be considered assets. SALARY &#.... |
