| CASEWORKER I (INCOME SUPPORT) Temporary Full-time (for approximately 15 months) (17 positions) LOCATION: 99 Regina St. , Waterloo and 150 Main St. , Cambridge Assesses eligibility for financial and employment assistance of all applicants under the Ontario Works (OW) Act. Interviews applicants, completes forms. Determines eligibility. Authorizes financial assistance and other services and benefits. Issues interim assistance based on Social Benefits Tribunal orders. Develops and authorizes a case plan and employment plan. Regularly follows up with participants to review and revise plans. Monitors ongoing financial eligibility, including review of income, assets, living circumstances, and other factors. Imposes sanctions and non-compliance rules as required. Reviews files identified by the system as requiring a review. Verifies participant information through third party sources. Notifies participants of overpayments and arrears. Responds to client enquiries. Advises participants of appeal processes. Informs and instructs participants in all aspects of employment planning.
