| CAD Design Lead Key Responsibilities Coordinate all CAD Design work within the Guelph Office including some supervision of junior CAD staff and designers as it relates to CAD Contribute and monitor CAD QA/QC Procedures and Documentation. Develop CAD Standards and CAD Innovation in conjunction with Corporate CAD Design Committee. Provide leadership in the performance of CAD Design tasks efficiently to the CAD Design Team. Produce for Engineers and Technicians, with the use of CAD development tools, drawings, plans and diagrams from sketches, engineering calculations, preliminary estimations and various data. Ensure that the technical norms for the production of plans and drawings are implemented, ensure that plans and the drawings comply with the book of specifications. Produce plans and details from the reference work, standards or engineering recommendations. Assist Design staff in accomplishing simple calculations (Detailed estimations and calculations of the amount of material). Visit occasionally the different sites in order to gather the essential data for design of detailed plans, define initial elements of the project by referring to the information received.
