| Buyer Intermediate Job Apply now » Date: Jan 17, 2012 Location: Scarborough, Ontario, Canada Intermediate Buyer The incumbent reports to the Purchasing Manager of Instrument Transformer Division. RESPONSIBILITIES Familiar with purchasing and inventory systems. Forward quotations to suppliers to achieve competitive advantage and best price. Place purchase orders with suppliers. Maintain correct information on purchase orders to ensure accurate receiving and invoicing. Maintain supplier performance information. Buying most non inventory items and some inventory item using cycle order and MRP reports. Maintaining standards and familiarity with ISO 9001, the Purchasing and Quality Manual. Reviewing sources of supply and obtain quotes as required. Generation and follow-up of Expedite report. Work on projects as assigned and provide summaries, reports and recommendations. Participate in the annual physical inventory. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager. QUALFICATIONS: One to three years buying experience in a manufacturing organization.
