| Biomedical Technologist Full Time Permanent (IUOE) Position Department: Health PEI Location: Prince County Hospital, Summerside (COMMENCING JANUARY 2012) The BioMedical Technologist services various equipment and systems such as patient monitors, defibrillators, anesthesia equipment, etc. The BioMedical Technologist is first call in regards to diagnostic imaging equipment. Responsible for coordinating, calibrating, inspections for safety and repair of medical equipment within Prince County Hospital and other facilities. In addition, the position evaluates for acquisition and educates staff in the use of biomedical equipment. The BioMedical Technologist assumes administrative responsibilities associated with activities, records equipment histories, preventative maintenance and scheduling. Some representative duties include: - trouble shoot and repair equipment; - perform, record and document preventative and routine maintenance in CMS, computerized maintenance program; - educate staff in safe use of equipment; - maintain equipment inventory; - maintain CMS; - perform analysis of repairs and identify requirement for new equipment procedures; - produce technical specification for new .... |
