Do you want to become one? The Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR) is seeking a talented Bioinformatician to focus on the analysis of large next-generation sequencing datasets. We want somebody with an extensive interest in large-data problems and an in-depth knowledge of data-handling. But this position involves a very substantial analysis component and the successful applicant will be working closely with systems-administrators, statisticians, PhD students, and postdoctoral associates on: • Optimization and parallelization of algorithms for the analysis of genome-sequencing data; • Integration of diverse datasets into unified statistical models; • Automating procedures for pipeline evaluation and assessment; • Automation of routine programming and data-analysis tasks; • Downstream data-modeling, includ.... |
