| Bilingual Intermediate Underwriter Location: Montr al, QC Requisition: 643 Employment duration: Regular Full-Time Empire Life position description Description Scope Statement The Bilingual Intermediate Underwriter maintains Company profitability through favourable mortality by reviewing and assessing the financial risk of in idual life insurance applications. The incumbent is guided by defined procedural constraints and works under the moderate supervision of the Manager, Underwriting. Impact Statement • Assesses risk in a timely manner to an approval limit of $1,000,000 for in idual life and $500,000 for critical illness polices • Develops and maintains strong relationships with potential and current clients • Provides sound risk decisions and related support to the Sales & Marketing and Retail business line teams Responsibilities Include • Assesses the mortality and financial risk for in idual life insurance products through an analysis of financial and medical information • Provides support to the Sales team in the management of the distribution relationship • Interacts with reinsurance providers to spread risk on retention amounts that exceed the E.... |
