| Bilingual IT Service Desk Our client a Division of the Federal Government has an immediate need for a Bilingual IT Service Desk Person in the Moncton area to assist with the deployment of new PC’s. This is a contract opportunity. Position Summary Consult with clients scheduled for life cycle replacement to identify user data, user settings, applications and application settings that are to be transferred to the new system. Backup specific files and folders to external hard drives, network drives or DVD's. In some instances an image of the entire hard drive may be required. This will be done using Symantec Ghost Images software. The actual procedure for backing up and securing user data will be determined by the regional Service Desk Supervisor. Delivery of equipment from the regional warehousing facilities to the client's desk. Unpacking and setting up of pc, monitor laptop and any other related equipment assigned to the client. Ensure all packing slips are returned to the regional Service Desk Supervisor. Physical connection of computing device to the network. Configuration of OS (operating system) and TCP/IP settings required to add the computer to the assigned domain. Veri.... |
