| Job Title: Benefits Analysis & Design Specialist Job ID: 7468 Location: Yellowknife Department HR Employer of Choice Return to Previous Page Position Summary Benefits Analysis & Design Specialist Corporate Human Resources Human Resources Yellowknife, NT TERM to January 24, 2011 Reporting to the Manager, Employer of Choice, the Benefits Analysis and Design Specialist analyzes, designs, develops and recommends the creation of new or changes to existing GNWT-wide benefits programs to ensure that the GNWT employee benefits package remains current, competitive and is in keeping with the GNWT's strategic objectives. A major challenge of the position is to make recommendations on the development and amendment of benefits packages that support the development of a northern workforce, the retention of current employees and the recruitment of qualified and suitable employees with minimal or no increase to the overall compensation and benefits budget. The incumbent should have knowledge of HR/Compensation principles and practices and applicable laws and regulations, knowledge of statistical analysis techniques, and mathematical ability.
