PURPOSE AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Under the direction and supervision of the Dance teacher(s), the purpose of this position is to assist in the
operation, and supervision of ballet students in the Dance program with Career Pathways (Arts &
Communication pathway). Career Pathways strives to provide students with further education and
employability skills.
This job is accountable for:
• Providing effective assistance, demonstration, and guidance to students related to the Dance program;
• Demonstrating initiative appropriate to the role of a ballet instructor;
• Contributing towards the effective provision of ballet education in a professional manner;
• Building and maintaining professional, supportive and enthusiastic commitment to students;
• Interacting positively with students by modeling and encouraging appropriate and positive behaviour;
