| Automotive Technician Job Description Competition Number TW.11.12.312 Available Positions 1 Permanent Position Employer Department of Transportation & Works - Labrador Transportation Region Locations Happy Valley - Goose Bay Closing Date 30 Jan 2012 Salary $21.18 - $23.42 per hour (MS-26) LABRADOR BENEFITS PACKAGE: Labrador Allowance: with dependent $4,950, without $2,475 Travel Allowance: $750 for employee and $550 per dependent. Duties This is skilled journeyperson level work associated with the diagnosing, servicing, repairing, rebuilding or replacing the assemblies, systems and components of motor vehicles and light trucks and advanced work in a variety of trades associated with the repair of vehicles and related equipment carried out in a transportation garage. Travel will be required outside the Goose Bay Unit throughout the year. Qualifications Candidates must be a certified Automotive Mechanic journeyperson with certificate issued by the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador with experience in the various trades associated with repair of vehicles and equipment.
