| POSITION SUMMARY: Please Note; This is a Contract Role covering a Maternity Leave The Assistant Manager, Finance is responsible for the accurate accounting of lease transactions, and to assist the Manager of Finance with the management of the Accounting unit. The incumbent is required to perform numerous accounting functions including journal entries, reconciliations, invoicing, and accounts payable. The incumbent is responsible for booking Option Rewrites, Progress Payments, Mid Term Adjustment, Non-Standard transactions, and Second Term Rollovers. The incumbent is also responsible for the preparation and accuracy of financial and management information including financial statements, income projections, and account analyses. As a result the incumbent is required to have a complete working knowledge of CICA handbook, and GAAP with an emphasis on the accounting treatment of leases. The incumbent must provide a high standard of customer service and at all times must maintain an awareness of the Bank's Scotia Service Standards and Complaint Resolution Standards and Policy and Procedures.
