No. : LAGM-ENV POSTED DATE : 1/31/2012 DESCRIPTION: Maxxam has an opportunity for an Assistant General Manager for our Edmonton environmental laboratory. The Edmonton lab serves a number of important national clients and has been seeing steady growth. The Assistant General Manager will provide the lab with strong leadership and ensure efficient use of human, equipment and financial resources. The manager will also facilitate the production of high quality defensible data, safely and on-time. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Leadership in the area of Health and Safety, environmental compliance and sustainability . Production planning and management of staffing and instrument utilization. Monitors turn-around times and prioritize activities to meet the required due dates. Manages financial performance; prepares annual budgets and capital requests. Provides technical leadership, approves standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implements Quality protocols consistent with Maxxam’s policies and procedures.
