| Title Assistant Controller Position Summary Reporting to the Controller, the incumbent will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of the general accounting and accounts payable teams in Canada. Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and oversee the general accounting and accounts payable functions. Review of monthly working papers. Preparation of monthly management reporting, financial statements and variance analysis. Ensure financial statements and reports are in compliance with US GAAP. Ensure the accounting operations and month end procedures are followed properly. Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budget. Assist in the creation and evaluation of procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Work with Operations to identify, develop, and provide reports to facilitate decisions and better manage the business. Assist in the coordination all audits (internal, external, SOX, financial, client, etc.). Coordinate month end deadlines with all involved parties to achieve the established close deadline.
