Lors de ces interventions, le technicien en sant animale doit prparer le matriel requis, le nettoyer une fois utilis et dplacer les animaux lorsque ncesaire. Le technicien doit tre en mesure d'apporter un soutien technique lors des transferts d'embryons par exemple: contention de la vache, pidurale, nettoyage, etc. Le technicien est appel aussi entrer des donnes dans le systme informatique. Il est responsable galement de l'inventaire des pharmacies, de l'entretien des chariots et chographes. Il est responsable de la prparation des hormones, de faire les prises de sang et d'administer les vaccins prescrits l'arrive des animaux.
