| Job Title: Animal Care Technician - Faculty of Medicine Job ID: 2041 Location: Foothills Campus Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Temporary Return to Previous Page Position Overview The Animal Resource Centre in the Faculty of Medicine is currently seeking a Full-timeTemporary Relief Animal Care Technician for approximately 5 months. Position Description Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to): Reports to the Supervisor Mouse Single Barrier, Animal Resource Centre, Faculty of Medicine. Past husbandry experience with research animals in a research centre or other relevant animal husbandry experience. Carries out duties independently, with minimal supervision. Acts as a resource and provides coaching to Researchers, Lab personnel and Grad Student as well as staff members of the facility. Demands for heavy lifting and standing for long periods of time. Provides care of animals used in research in compliance with the University and Canadian Council of Animal Care, failure to do so could impact on the animal care and research outcomes. Uses good judgment and problem solving skills to identify and report health problems with animals. Prov.... |
