| Job Title: Animal Care Technican - Faculty of Medicine Job ID: 1951 Location: Foothills Campus Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular Return to Previous Page Position Overview The Animal Resource Centre in the Faculty of Medicine is currently seeking a Full-time Temporary Relief Animal Care Technician for approximately 4 months. Position Description Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to): Reports to the Supervisor Mouse Single Barrier, Animal Resource Centre, Faculty of Medicine. Provides well developed, consistent technical support and animal care services to users of the Animal Resources Centre facility and ensure that proper procedures are followed at all times through education of staff and users. Provides animal care for all species of laboratory animals used in research, which includes feeding, watering and changing cages following Standard Operating Procedures for prevention of exposure to disease. Monitors and assesses general animal health, and reports problems to the Veterinarian or appropriate lab technician. Provides basic treatment for animals under direction of Facility Veterinarian . a Ensures at all times that wo.... |
