| Analytical or Organic Chemist Location: Ottawa Start Date: ASAP Position Type: Temporary Duration: 6 months Security Clearance: Enhanced Opportunity Number: 4076022 Our federal government client seeks a Chemist with recent, proven experience working in a laboratory in Analytical or Organic chemistry. Qualifications and Experience Graduation with a diploma from a recognized college or university program, with acceptable experience in analytical or organic chemistry. Experience in sample preparation for trace environmental quantitative analysis. Experience in the operation and maintenance of modern analytical instruments, including HPLC and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Experience in collecting, evaluating, analysing and interpreting scientific data. Knowledge of the theories and principles of chemistry, chromatography, and sample preparation. Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures relevant for handling hazardous chemicals and compressed gases. Knowledge of QA/QC principles and procedures, and good laboratory practices.
