Reporting to the Director, Support Services the administrative assistant has the
responsibility of providing administrative support within the support services departments.
This service exists to ensure the efficient and consistent delivery of day–to–day
administrative support within the department. Located at the Qikiqtani General Hospital
this position ensures smooth operation and facilitation of projects, business and clerical
functions for staff.
The ideal candidate will have two years of office administration experience. Excellent
computer skills in word processing and email are required. You will be required to assist with
leave and attendance using a database. You must have a valid Nunavut driver’s license. You
must be proficient in English. The ability to communicate, both verbal and written, in
Inuktitut is required.
Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to
formal education and experience requirements will be considered
