| Job Title: Administrative Assistant/Researcher Job ID: 7987 Location: Yellowknife Department DAR Negotiations Division Return to Previous Page Position Summary Administrative Assistant/ Researcher Negotiations/HQ Aboriginal Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations (DAAIR) Yellowknife, NT Reporting to the Director of Negotiations, the Administrative Assistant/Researcher is responsible for providing administrative support to the Negotiations Division; coordinating the development of negotiations reports, and conducting research and staying current on developments at Aboriginal Rights negotiations with the NWT and in other provincial/territorial jurisdictions. Knowledge of standard office management procedures and a thorough knowledge of the North, its environment, political, including Aboriginal governments and leadership and social milieu is required. Knowledge of computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and tables, along with strong organizational and effective communication skills is also required. Typically the qualifications for this position would be attained by the completion of grade 12 and a Secretarial Arts program, and three (3) years directly.... |
