| Aboriginal Patient Access Facilitator Patient Navigation Program Term Full-time April 12, 2010 - March 31, 2011 (MAT LOA) Competition #: 21-10-764066891 The Aboriginal Cancer Patient Access Facilitator, reporting to the Project Coordinator for the CCMB-Norway House Project and the Director of Patient Navigation, will be responsible for activities related to a new initiative aimed at improving access to cancer services for Aboriginal patients. Various techniques will be used to identify gaps and bottlenecks in the cancer journey taken by Aboriginal people when they are diagnosed with cancer. These techniques will include interviewing Aboriginal people diagnosed with cancer, and/or family members if patients are unable to participate, as well as chart review. The Aboriginal Patient Access Facilitator will analyze this information, and help to design and implement improvements to cancer service delivery. The Facilitator will work closely with other Patient Journey Facilitators (at disease specific sites) in the Patient Navigation Program. Qualifications: Bilingual (English and Cree) is preferred.
