| ADULT DAY PROGRAM ASSISTANT SALARY RANGE : $20.88 - $26.06 per hour (Pay Grade 2) NOTE: Applicants will be considered for interviews based on the information provided in their application to the Region of Halton including a current resume and cover letter. We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those under consideration will be contacted. THIS POSITION IS BEING OFFERED ON A CASUAL/RELIEF BASIS. PURPOSE: Reporting to the Supervisor of Community and Support Services, this position is responsible for the delivery of daily programs and provision of personal support to adults with disabilities and seniors who attend the day program. PREFERRED BACKGROUND: Diploma in Recreation or similar area of study with previous work experience is required . The ideal candidate must have a keen interest and experience in working with the elderly, those with dementia and adults with disabilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Knowledge and experience in a ssessing client needs and implementing intervention strategies to facilitate success in activities. Computer skills (Point Click Care, Word, and Outlook) required.
