Public Health Nurse
(TEMPORARY PART-TIME, Averaging 35 Hours Per Pay Period)

Job Summary:
The Public Health Nurse is responsible for the provision of designated public health nursing programs
to communities, families and individuals. The focus of these programs is based on the needs of the
community and established public health services with goals of health promotion, illness and injury
prevention and risk reduction. The Public Health Nurse is a member of a multi-disciplinary team and
will be responsible to collaborate with colleagues to provide a public health response to identified
community priorities.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have a baccalaureate degree in nursing with a significant community health
nursing content or a diploma in nursing with advanced (diploma) preparation in Public Health
Nursing.
Current registration or eligibility to practice nursing in Nova Scotia is required.
The incumbent will have knowledge and understanding in areas of community development,
community needs assessment and capacity.... |
