| (2) Records Management Clerks Ottawa-Gatineau Government Staffing Office Administration Records/Filing Clerk ID 24662 Description DUTIES: Classifying documents and filing appropriately Creating new files and folders and revising when necessary Sorting and putting away documents Duties include the assisting of other staff in the effective maintenance of records management systems and in support of best practices. The work performed will be reviewed while in progress. Typical duties may include: Sorting material that is to be filed according to particular filing systems Classifying, coding, cross-referencing and storing records Maintaining indices for classification systems Facilitating appropriate access to records and information Reporting any records management issues to the supervisor Labelling of files according to retention and disposal schedules MANDORY CRITERIA Experience of at least 1 year working in a records management environment.
